Files on Ovi, Nokia’s remote file syncing service is now available for testing. Rafe has a good appraisal of this early beta service over at All About Symbian.
It sounds like it’s going to be great solution, especially for those who aren’t tethered to their laptop for most of the day. However...

Excuse me, but shouldn’t this read “Connect your mobile phone to the photos, music and files on your Windows computer”?
Yes yes, I know that Microsoft dominates the personal computer world, but I am convinced that the very kind of Nseries users that would use this service are the early adopters that might be running Mac OSX or Linux. Nokia have probably just closed the door (Ovi) on a good 20% of potential users with this initial beta release.
I am reminded of Darla’s recent comments in her ‘Can Nokia Make it All Just Work?’ post. So many of Nokia’s solutions are Windows only affairs.
Months after launch and the Nokia Music Store still has no Mac component. This does not bode well for seeing Files on Ovi for the Mac anytime soon.
Sad, very sad.
