Following in the great tradition of BBC nature documentaries, I thought I might try my hand at a few wildlife cams this summer. First up, Bumblebee cam!
For all its media capture prowess the Nokia N95 sadly lacks a close up mode for video capture. However, using the good old Linen Tester hack a whole new world of the tiny is opened up.
The trick is to keep the Linen Tester flat against the lens housing of the N95, this should enable you to film at a distance of about 40mm, much closer than the usual 1.5 metres. I also boosted up the colours somewhat and occasionally tilted the Linen Tester to simulate a moderate Tilt-shift effect.
Next time I’m hoping to go for some Seagull cam footage. Should be fun!
