Within the next few days the Nokia N95 Flickr User Group will gain its 1000th member. This months winning photos are a good indication of the new level of creativity that many N95 users are aspiring to.
Previously, I’ve lauded that N95 for its pocket-ability, having a 5 mega pixel camera in your pocket and ready to go at a moments notice is a real blessing. However, this month proves that if you take your time, consider the lighting, consider composition and context of the scene, then real treasures can be found both in front of and behind that tiny Carl Zeiss lens! Think back to about 4 years ago... remember the photo quality of the camera phones you were using then? Now check out these images below... Simply amazing!
Best Colour. Photo by nattu. There are so many things that make this spellbinding image just so right. The soft colours, the clouds on the horizon, the boat, the reflections of the posts... need I say more?
Best Portrait. Photo by Shazemeen. A fantastically gritty black and white image, finished off with some stunning typography.

BEST Landscape. Photo by Derek... He’s done it again! It’s another jaw-droppingly good landscape.
Best Composition. Photo by dobienet. A superb other-world feel to this beautiful reflection.
Best Macro. Photo by tbrreal. Okay, I know that this isn’t *actually* a macro shot, but just look at it, it’s about as good as Tilt-shift gets. Great capture and good Photoshop work!
Best Moment. Photo by whatleydude. Good captures like this one from James Whatley, only come to those with patience. Anyone who has spent much time in London will be impressed by both the lack of people and grime in this scene! (^_-)
