DVB-H. Digital Video Broadcasting - Handheld

Remember the N92? No, I didn't think you would! It was the first Nokia to support DVB-H. I don't have any figures to show you, but I don't think it was particularly successful. Eventually, DVB-H made it's return to the Nseries with the N77, which due to a limited rollout, has also failed to make any big waves.

With the N96, DVB-H shows up in a flagship Nseries device for the first time. I have to say that I'm not all that thrilled actually. It has nothing do to with the N96's implementation of DVB-H, but rather the fact that DVB-H just isn't available in the UK and probably wont be for another 3 years or more.

Sadly, this is the one cool feature that I will probably never use. But for those of you living in a countries that do offer television via DVB-H, check out the video above or even this much nicer Quicktime version - you're in for a real treat later in the year!
