Video: BBC’s iPlayer for Nokia Nseries

Last week the BBC unveiled their new streaming iPlayer service. Until now their 7 day catch up service had only been available to Windows machines due to the DRM used.

This new streaming service, not only opens up the way for Mac and Linux boxes, but also perhaps for a host of other web connected devices. Yes, you guessed it, I’m thinking Nseries!

7 days worth of quality programming available via live streaming over WiFi or 3G, this could be a huge hit for Nokia in the UK marketplace, traditionally one of Nokia’s strongest regions.

The N95 8GB would be a perfect device playback device for iPlayer. Imagine visiting friends... you get talking about the Top Gear, your friend mentions that he missed yesterday’s episode. You connect your N95 to his WiFi network and his large LCD TV, a few seconds later and you’re good to go!
