Lost Perspectives

I am fascinated by our distorted sense of importance and size within the world. I wanted to investigate what would happen if we could step back from ourselves and look from ‘above’ at our part within the natural world.

In the same way that ants seem unimportant compared to us if we look down upon them, I produced a set of photographs that each depict human kind in a way as to emphasise how ‘small’ we really are. Lost within our environment.

This body of work began my interest with man’s place within the universe, and the way this could be depicted through photographic techniques.
