lawyer by trade : comic by nature : aspiring political philosopher : football superstar in my dreams

i like to think of myself as me.

about me
history
born to gozitan parents in a socialist malta i grew up liking the sun, the sea and juventus. i developed a stinging sense of humour when i discovered that laughter is the best medicine and set out to heal the world.

i studied under the Lasallian freres, the Loyolan Jesuits and the self-serving lawyers at Stella Maris College, St. Aloysius’ College and the University of Malta respectively.  Having attended three graduation ceremonies and walked out with three different diploma i set out to do something different - so i got a masters in european law at bruges in belgium where i learnt that nerds and wankellectuals exist everywhere and they will hate me for exposing them.

i am a smashing footballer and would be appearing at the next world cup were it not for my dietitians incompetence. before moving to belair, luxembourg i formed part of Deportivo Estudiantes the greatest five aside team not to win a tournament in malta. i am also an amazing actor having featured and starred in multiple productions including the JC productions satirical playlets to the pantomime at the manoel theatre in malta.

an entertaining career in the media was also postponed with the move to luxembourg. together with antonio tufigno i had co-authored a satirical radio program called Shinguard that had one season on Campus Radio and another (short) season on X-fm. i also hosted a political analysis programme on university radio called nirraprezenta where i managed to interview many european parliament election candidates without getting too bored. i was also paid to analyse the morning papers for campus fm and my unbiased attack on all things partisan garnered many listeners who obviously had tuned their radio to the bbc news and forgot to switch station.

in my life there are two great loves: a beautiful blonde babe named melanie and a divine cat named xitan. one of them is constantly on heat and the other eats brekkies for breakfast. (just kidding).

my blogs and my photos are my current attempts at creative expression. if you like them that’s good, if you dislike them then it does not say much about your taste. whatever it is thanks for reading this far... feel free to explore the rest at your leisure.

during the 2008 national elections in malta, the blog “j’accuse” registered a sudden, unexpected peak in hits and has since stabilised around a normal figure of around 500 hits daily. in the meantime, after a short stint writing articles for The Sunday Times of Malta i moved to The Malta Independent on Sunday where j’accuse is now a weekly Sunday column.
