I’ve been with the Shoreline School District for seventeen years; in that time I’ve taught 7th and 8th grade English and social studies, served as department chair, activities coordinator, coach, and cooperating teacher for an intern. In my current role as a technology integration specialist, I help teachers integrate the use of technology into their instruction via a 1:1 laptop model for grades 5-12.
I’ve been involved with CWU for many years, first as a student back when Duran Duran was popular and I wore my hair in a stylish mullet and now as a field supervisor and lecturer. My experience in a district where staff have been passionate about integrating technology into instruction for nearly two decades gives me an insider’s view of the victories and challenges that go with technology in our classrooms. Every day I learn something new about technology and look forward to learning from your experiences and observations in addition to sharing mine with you.
