I’m an ethnographic researcher and consultant. When working with clients I go wherever their customers or employees live and work, immersing myself in their environment, seeing the world through their eyes and advocating for their needs, translating those needs into design specifications, marketing strategies, and business innovations.

I am currently working for Sustainable Fisheries Partnership - an international marine conservation NGO - on building an online resource for sustainable fishing information that brings together the best and latest science to inform the seafood industry. This project draws on my prior experience at Xerox PARC with systems for sharing practical knowledge amongst work communities and organisations. I am also working on improving SFP’s capacity to share its experience with the wider sustainable fishing community. 

Additionally, I teach and do research for the Design Department in the School of Art and Design at Aalto University in Helsinki.
