Hampstead girls end season on a high
Women’s Football Round-Up
Middlesex Girls League
Under-13s
Hampstead 3,
Headstone Manor 1
HAMPSTEAD sealed a League and League Cup double on Sunday when they beat Headstone Manor to finish joint top of the Middlesex Girls League.
Needing a win to finish the season level on points with Parkfield, the under-13s side were on the back foot five minutes after kick-off when the visitors grabbed an early goal.
But Hamps eventually broke the visitors stubborn resilience when skipper Georgia Kinsella set up Tara Campbell to level.
Shauna Magner hit home for 2-1 early in the second half and with player of the match Danielle Hayes repelling every attack, Hamps pushed on for the killer third.
Lucy Headford duly delivered as she rounded off the scoring to seal a memorable season for the glory girls.
HAMPSTEAD’S under-12s lost on penalties to Brentford in the Mini Soccer League Cup to finish their season runners-up in the League and Cup.
