Iva’s Piano Studio Policy 2008-09 This is your copy of the 2008-09 Studio Policy. Please keep it in a safe place where you can refer to it periodically. Send your completed Registration Form after you have read the studio policy and signed the appropriate space on the registration form that states you have read the studio policy and agree to adhere to its contents. Studio Hours: Wednesday, Thursday 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Registration: Registration for the 2007-08 session begins in July 2007. Lesson times are scheduled on a first-come first- serve basis. Continuing students must reregister each year. Tuition: Tuition is based on 32 lessons and is divided into 8 equal payments. A combination of lessons and performance classes make up the 32 week lesson year. Tuition is due the first lesson of the month and is nonnegotiable due to absences. A late fee of $10. will automatically be added to the balance if the tuition is not received by the 10th of the month. Termination may occur after the 20th of the month. A $25. charge will be assessed to an account when a check is returned unpaid from the bank. Please make checks payable to: Iva Veazey Newsletter: A monthly newsletter is on my web page. Billing is sent by email each month. Fee Schedule: 1. Keyboard Instruction Private 30-minute lesson $55. per month Private 45-minute lesson $82.50 per month Private 60-minute lesson $110 per month 2. An annual $20. studio/ registration fee is required of all students by their first lesson of the year. Student Music Account: A music deposit of $50. per student is made when lessons begin for the purchase of music and miscellaneous items. A computerized record itemizes all credits and debits. When the balance falls below $10., your monthly billing will reflect another $50. payment in addition to your tuition. You may request a computerized copy of your Music Account records at any time. Attendance: Students are expected to maintain a regular pattern of attendance. Progress depends on consistency. Tardy students will get the remainder of their lesson time. Absences: There is no refund or forwarding credit for any lesson time missed. Canceled lessons due to the teacher or the weather will be rescheduled. If you are sick or out of town, you may change times with another student or make special arrangements. If a student is absent for an extended period of time, tuition must be paid to keep the space in the studio. Studio environment: Only students are permitted in the studio during teaching hours. Parents, siblings and friends are not allowed in the studio during lessons. If this is difficult to adhere to because of my location, please let me know and we can make arrangements. Make sure that your child is in the studio before you drive away. I will not be responsible otherwise. Please make sure the student has used the restroom and washed their hands before coming to lesson. Gum and snacks are not permitted during regular lesson times. Lesson Termination: A one -month notice is required in the event of lesson termination by the student. Music Account credit will be refunded only with a full month’s notice. Studio Fees are nonrefundable with no exceptions. Lessons will be terminated by the teacher in the event of irregular attendance, repeated failure to prepare assigned material or disruptive behavior. A one -month trial period with parent notification will precede lesson termination. Destruction of studio property will result in immediate dismissal from the studio and Tuition, Studio fees and Music Account fees will not be refunded .
