My favorite subjects are fruits and flowers. Their small scale and simple subject matter allow me to focus on what intrigues me most: light, shadow, reflections and the beauty of natural forms. My experience as a conservator of old master paintings has exposed me to the rich tradition of still-life painting and inspired an interest in historical painting techniques.
