"Concerto for Two Marimbas and Wind Ensemble" (1998) Premiered by Gregg Giannoscoli and Andrew Harnsberger at Virginia Commonwealth University. In three movements. [ca. 18'00"]/§/$/FSA/PA/ [I will be rewriting his and revising it soon for full orchestra, and chamber orchestra.] CHAMBER MUSIC: "Olde Tuun/PinballMIX#1" (2005)- Parody-mass/Paraphrase-mass mentality based on Bach's 2-part Invention #10 meets "mash-up” for Piano and Electric Guitar. Turned it upside-down, re-keyed it, and re-composed it for guitar and piano adding substantial connective-tissue between each Bach note, followed by a second section in which the 2 instruments "pinball" through their parts to the end. Removed original notes, kept rhythms. Then “repopulated the notes, did multiple “sonic-bleach-washes” to “degrade the original” (as time would to organic matter), and recomposed based on the fragmented remains. Score soon available. Also work-shopped by the ECA New Works Ensemble (high school), and "The Clogs", it is a work involving improvisation, and group-musical choices. "Square's Rhomboidal Dream" (2003)- a performance piece that uses the space itself, and may involve the audience. "Papyrus Nugator I: Hungarian Childhood" (2002) using text from Emoke B'Racz's "Hungarian Childhood" (from her book: "Every Tree is the Forest") a surreal and beautiful poem-sound painting, using the sounds of Emoke's voice reading the poem as paint.
