Recorded one night at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary. Yes, I know, Its quite obvious that I love Horowitz’s interpretation. It seemed that both he and Scriabin were physically trying to get “past” the piano, and break into another dimension of sound altogether. It is an extremely potent work to perform.
For me, this was never a piano piece- it always sounded more like an orchestra. As a result, I created an orchestration of this piece. You can listen to it on the Reverbnation Widget below
