Tableaux for Disappearance 10:00 Segment 1 projected text and images Segment 2 performance with projection The work employs a series of tableau photographs in contrast to movement tableaux. The photographs were taken in the varied land/cityscapes of Prague, Paris, Berlin, Seoul, Taipei, and Haulien. The clothes used in each tableau were found discarded in the outdoor public space of each city. The movement, through pantomime and repeating broken patterns, develops an alternate frame of reference and memory. The lens shifts through topography, identity traces, accumulation, appearance, and disappearance. The initial text “Clothes wet with tears. Keep walking. The clothes begin to dry.” is to be projected along with the still images on whatever surface is available. * The work is a combine segment from “Clothes x Sun” and “ECHO for Auld Lang Syne”.
