Labor Day indeed
 
To all my DC peeps:
I’ve booked a trip to DC (using SWA’s pretty cool Ding! feature) for $200, arriving Sept 1 to BWI and departing that Wednesday afternoon from Dulles. I’ve definitely been looking forward to spending some time with the Kitten and visiting whomever isn’t fleeing town for their own three-day getaways.
But in light of some recent developments, that plan is going to have to change a bit. I got an email from my DC sublettor saying that he just bought a place and will be moving out the first weekend of September. Coincidence? So my timeline gets compressed: I need to decide sooner whether or not I’ll ever be returning to that apartment by Oct 1 (thanks to his security deposit), or if I’m getting rid of it all, painting the walls, and cutting that cord. No small chore, but one best done while I’m there... and I’ll be there... so... there it is. I’m already churning over those logistics in my head, and I may have to ask a DC-er for some assistance prior to my arrival. I’ll certainly let y’all know, when the time comes.
I’m still hoping to see y’all somehow, though. Perhaps I can manage a Dim-Sum brunch?
