My little iMac is as good as new, so let me see what I can remember, it’s been so long, yo.
Drenched, yo. Thanks guys for a wonderful time!

‣An acquaintance of mine was in town from Florida and we met for dinner. Afterward I drove him over to his friends’ place where he would be spending the night. The friends invited me up for coffee and I got to know them--one creates props for things like the new Star Trek film and Harry Potter, the other works for a big-time movie director. Great guys, and not bad people to know! I look forward to hanging out with them more...

‣Had lunch on Universal Studios’ lot with a friend-of-a-friend-of-a-friend. After a lovely meal and conversation, she generously showed me the secret entrance to the theme park, where I was able to take the back-lot tour! Great fun! Seeing all the faux streets, dressed differently for so many movies. Outside the park on my way back to the car, there sat the Mystery Machine, just parked there!

‣I figured out that I was able to transfer my gym membership from DC to a Gold’s in Pasadena. A 15-min drive isn’t the best, but it’s not terrible either. I’ve gone four days in a row, had a free session with a trainer, and may spring for a couple more to get me going. Now that I can work out and actually get some quality sleep to recharge, I have so much more energy! Thank you cheeses!

‣I told my friend Billy-Boy that I’d blog about him. As I type he’s txt-ing from a NJ concert arena with his boyfriend, awaiting the start of a Justin Timberlake / Good Charlotte double feature. “The things we do for love,” he said.

‣I’ve responded to about 25 online job postings over the weekend. As I’ve been writing this, I got a nibble back--an editor looking to expand into production and startup an office needs an overflow editor and production manager. In a word: perfect. Salary? Not so perfect, but it will certainly pay my bills and get me started! I just crossed a couple extra fingers.

‣And y’all, this is last but not least: I’m moving my blog. Yeah. Dabbling with iWeb has been a great little way to experiment with this thingy, but now I yearn for a little more functionality than it can provide. I’m going to have to sacrifice some things (like all the nifty photos in the right margin) but it’ll all be worth it to me in the long run.
