Living Latino represents the expansion of The Fresh Voices program that first began in 1996 as a pilot project for ten youth living in what was then, the small farming community of Crookston Minnesota. The project that originally lasted five days, used video creation as a means for facilitating dialogue about racism within the local community. That first program has provided a strong foundation for new growth, and now provides a place for public voice amongst those least represented -- youth and the Latino community.  There is a plethora of amazing artwork by our Latino media artists.  Whether through photography or video, the stories are compelling and reflective of what young Latinos value in their lives.
