The Growing Noyes Family

August 2002 to August 2005: We lived in South Hamilton, MA north of Boston, where Ian attended Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and received his MDiv.

February 11, 2005:  Jacob was in a sledding accident, and had a displaced spiral femur fracture that placed him in a full-body cast for two months

September 2005:  We moved into the Marsh House in Ipswich, MA while Ian finished an internship at Old South Presbyterian Church in Newburyport, and we sought to discern God’s call to ministry.

December 2005:  Ian accepted a call to serve as the Associate pastor of East Main Presbyterian Church in Grove City, PA.

February 2006: We purchased our first home, and a week later Ian was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament.  The next day, the Senior Pastor announced he was leaving (though unrelated to our arrival.)

April 2006:  We got our dog, Tucker.

June 2006:  We began the paperwork to adopt a sibling pair of Ethiopian orphans.

September 2006:  Our adoption paperwork was completed, and began to wait for our referral phone call.  Also, Jacob started 1st grade at home with Mindy.

January 18, 2007:  We celebrated our 10th anniversary!

May 4, 2007:  Jacob finished 1st grade!

May 7, 2007:  We received a referral for our newest daughter and son:  Dinknesh and Eyob

Summer 2007:  We will travel to Ethiopia to pick up Jacob’s sister and brother!
July 8, 2008:  We returned to the US with Ella Dinknesh and Isaac Eyob!!
