After a great farewell “Trailer Trash” Party at the home of our good friends, Liz & Kelly Campbell, we “sailed at dawn” the morning of Sunday, Nov 8, 2004. It had taken us over 6 months to sell the house and close down our two businesses and we really needed the break! Nothing restores you like time on the beach.

We returned to Modesto a week later to finish up some loose ends, but by then we were much more refreshed. It’s one thing to dream of living such a life and another to live it. It was taking a while for us to “de-fuse” and adjust to life in such a small space, but we began to learn how to relax. Soon we were ready to see what was beyond the next bend in the road.

The surf at Wright’s Beach was
dangerous but beautiful!
This “relaxing” thing was surprisingly
easy to learn!
Feeding gulls & observing their habits.
Well, someone has to do it!
It’s easy to make friends on the road.
Just feed ‘em! This is ‘Henry’.
Can you ever get enough of
watching the surf?
Some new friends we made at the beach,
Gary & Brenda Camp.
