We bought our first miniature mare in 1997 and have been in love with this wonderful breed ever since.
Our farm name came from a registered palomino stallion named Filigree Abou who was owned and shown by the Parker family in 1947. When we bought the Parker farm and our first miniature we asked if we could keep the name. One meaning for Filigree is 'very delicate' and we felt that certainly applied to our beautiful horses in miniature.
Our family now lives one hour north of Edmonton, Alberta. Our 60 acres border Helliwell Lake allowing our miniatures to enjoy the company of many different kinds of wildlife who also make our acreage their home.
We are committed to raising beautiful, very correct, colorful foals in a small herd and family environment.
Our horses boast bloodlines such as Monashee, Vant Huttenest, Dell Teras, Bond, Soat's, Los Arboles, Jandts, Rowdy and Flying W Farms.
