What I do
I'm currently enjoying some down time since I retired from Stevens Institute of Technology where I was the Mathematics projects manager for the Center for Innovation in Engineering & Science Education (better known as CIESE). I was there almost 18 years. My how time flies when you're having fun! But I'm far from retired. Looking forward to some new adventures with math, technology, teaching and learning.

Some of my projects
Here’s a list of my math & science Internet projects that were a big part of my work at CIESE.

Some other things I do
I founded and still am the president of CLIME (the Council for Technology in Mathematics Education) - an NCTM affilliate group. Visit the CLIME website where I have lot’s to say about it. I've served on several NCTM technology committees and have served on the technology committee for the New Jersey Mathematics Teachers Association (AMTNJ).

Here is one of my articles that reflects my views on teaching and learning
A Look at Technology's Role in Professional Development of Mathematics Teachers at the Middle School Level (School Science & Mathematics, November 2000) - This article describes my vision of teacher professional development and how I try to implement it in my IMATTT (Integrating Mathematics with Technology Teacher Training) Project in Paterson, New Jersey.

An interest of mine: Meteorology - I like to track storms and see what makes them tick
The last great movie I saw: Hamlet - I get completely mesmerized by Kenneth Branaugh's acting
My favorite movie: Mr. Holland's Opus with Richard Dreyfus portraying the life of a dedicated music teacher.
Last good book I read: Euclid's Window: The Story of Geometry from Parallel Lines to Hyperspace
People I live with: My wife Joan and our four make that five cats: Smokey, Bandit, Maxine, Pitty-Pat and our newest adoptee - Ollie!
