A Repository for the Almost and Kind of Cool

I don’t think I have to explain why this site is still up.  I guess it has always been a focal point for my video obsession.  (Thus, reasoning for the title of The Cathexis.)

The current bit of energy my ego is dealing with (keeping with Freud) is about a standard of product.  I would have to complete a project of a cinematic quality to reap the joy my personality is craving . . . See, in part, I have a big problem with the current state of the internet.  And, it all pertains to bandwidth and storage.  To get it, one will be required to watch commercials of a type we have yet to recognize.  If one goes to YouTube one is not going to get stereo sound or true HD.  If, one employs a site such as this, ones audience is subjected to long download times to gain half the quality possible.  Thus, welcome to my scratch pad.  But, not really, because there are miles of video tape surrounding me at this very moment and would be impossible to view here.  And, the sound and visual quality are all that you as a viewer can handle.  So, The Cathexis is as stated in the title of this blog entry - A Repository for the Almost and Kind of Cool.

The clip of video you see on this entry was a ride we took in November of ’06.  In part, to scout locations for The Logical Christ.  Of course, if you put the right individuals with the right skills in front of a camera one is most certainly going to be entertained.  Pure improv from ZM.
