After we had a chance to cancel all the stolen credit cards, Farshad, Ivon and Lauren went to the police station to fie a report. On the way, Ivon tried several times to call the robber(s) on Lauren’s cell phone to ask for the passports back. They didn't answer. But then we had a brainstorm -- we sent a text message. It read:
 
QUEDATE CON LA PLATA,
PERO POR FAVOR DEVOLVE EL BOLSO A SEGURIDAD EN EL ABASTO SHOPPING
 
KEEP THE MONEY,
BUT PLEASE RETURN THE BAG TO SECURITY AT THE ABASTO SHOPPING MALL
