P.S.,  I really appreciate the positive comments that I’ve gotten about this site so far. Unfortunately, when the site file crashed back in March (2008), the existing comments were apparently erased. Quick tip

The news print is much better for sticking to ice. Wet it down and smooth it out from top to bottom and soak it well. let it stand for a minutes or so before carving and it will freeze to the box. You can get end rolls from your local newspaper. They have to be trimmed to 20 inches wide in some cases depending the printer size they use. I get rolls that are 27 inches wide and wrap it around the block to capture the side of my template as well. Two pieces gets me all sides of the block covered. if you don't need to wrap the block just trim it to fit.
