studio
located in southeast portland, the goal of studio-en is to portray art, and the making of, not only as an integral part of society, but also as realistic professional lifestyle.
art plays a role in all of our lives to different degrees. the term artist should not be understood solely as a person who makes art, rather applied to the aspect within each of us who creates.
the role of this artist then, is to embrace the senses and express the core of these feelings in a way that others can understand. the tools for this are purpose, honesty, and originality.
beginning in march of 2008, EN will be hitting the road for a six-month cycling tour of the united states. this solo journey will be documented with photographs and writing which will be posted regularly on the blog accompanying this page. using solar power provided by Reluminati, EN’s bicycle trailer will become a traveling darkroom and office while producing neither emissions nor waste.
this trip is also sponsored by nau clothing, providing EN with outstanding outdoor wear made of recycled plastics and organic materials. their apparel, objective, and efforts can be viewed at www.nau.com
