This is our boat page.  Bizim is a Malö 42 built in 1998 in Kungsviken in Sweden that we purchased from Tom and Lee in April 2006.  We kept it in Lake Union, Seattle, sailing around the Puget Sound area gradually learning to sail until August 2006 when we started the sail south then east to Turkey.  Here are a few technical specifications:

4. •Displacement: 30,000 lbs (13.6 metric tons)
   

Tom has an excellent site about ‘Catspaw’, the previous name for the boat showing details of the many projects he undertook to make the boat what it is today. Bizim means ‘ours’ in Turkish and, (with a slight spelling change), naughty child in Scottish.
