poop

I know. Poop is so juvenile. I can’t help it - it’s how I feel.

I finally got my camera battery charged. I ran, breathless, up the stairs to my bedroom. I threw back the covers. I laid the lace on the freshly made white sheets.

I stretched the lace, admiring how nice it looked with the white coming through.

I turned on my camera. I aimed. I pushed the button. And presto:

Uh. Ok. Let’s try that without the flash:

Dude. Sweet.

I have come to the conclusion that while I was in Colorado my digital camera found out that I was cheating on it with my camera phone and has decided to passive-aggressively share its displeasure with me through blurry and overexposed images.

I tried opening a bottle of wine. I tried drawing it a bubble bath. Nothing.

I think we’re getting a divorce. I promise, it’s in no way your fault.

In the meantime, I still can’t show you any pictures of my WIPs. I also bought like eight skeins of Lily Sugar N’ Cream yesterday for my Great Dishcloth Project (more on that later) and I can’t even show you those.

Sniff.

Luckily, I have good news.

I GOT MY RAVELRY INVITE.

I know some of you have been waiting patiently for your invite, so I won’t brag (I waited about a month, in case you’re wondering). Let me just say this:

It’s totally worth it. I would have waited a year.

If you’re not already my friend and you’re on Ravelry, come look me up.

If you have no idea what I’m talking about you should remove the large boulder from atop your head and click the link. You won’t be sorry.

In other news, I joined the Mystery Stole 3 Knitalong. I’d never heard of this until Ravelry (see? Working already) and I’m totally psyched. Again, click the link if you’ve never heard of it either. It’s badass.

I’m going to use my Zephyr wool/silk lace in the color Basil for the project and some green 8 seed beads. I’ll take a picture of my swatch when I’m done (and when our beautiful Canon D70s returns from her Africa jaunting).

So glad you all liked my Links post - glad I could offer a diversion!

The Knit Mongrel: For When You Need To Procrastinate.

Now who’s going to offer me a book deal?

Hee. Happy Friday!
