Catching up
I haven’t updated since July, but since I’ve had to rebuild all of my webpages, I thought I’d add something new here. Since then, James’s father passed away, school is through its first quarter for both James and I, and we never closed on the house. To anyone interested in a Highland Home, don’t bother with a company whose Vice President can lie to your face.
School is wonderful! It consumes my whole life, but I love it. I love teaching gifted, being creative, and doing all of the labs and hands-on activities science entails. I also sponsor the yearbook, which is easy enough at only 96 pages. The most difficult part is keeping the other teachers happy. I’m also sponsoring the science fair as well, which is coming up soon. I’m not doing Odyssey of the Mind at school yet; I think my hands are full as a first year teacher! I’m still a problem captain for it though, which is enough to juggle. When you add my grad school course, grading, and lesson planning (with lab set-up), I really have no time whatsoever. But I love it!
I have a new hedgie baby (shown above) named Koosh. She’s the cutest!
On the “About Me” page there’s a picture from James’s homecoming last weekend. I went ready to dance, but ended up spending most of my time splitting up kids from making out. School is going well for him too.
On the pictures page, I’ve put an album of a Pulp Fiction themed cake I made for my Creativity class. It was lots of fun to make, and I can’t wait to bake more cakes this way!
Next weekend we have our engagement picture shoot. I promise to post pictures!
