China’s Xinjiang Region

In the summer of 2006 I visited China's Xinjiang Autonomous Region. My invitation came from the official Chinese Photographers Association, I was the only British representative and I joined photographers from 13 countries in documenting this part of China.  For the Wikipedia article on Xinjiang and a map please click here. Over 15 days and 3000 kilometers, I took over 2200 digital pictures documenting the southern section of the Silk Road. Here are some of my pictures in the order that they where taken - enjoy.
