Life In the woods

This is one of over 40 card designs for sale in stores & found on my Huckleberry Cards web site. Click to visit Huckleberry Cards../Huckleberry_Enterprises/Huckleberry_Hello.html

This site was created during a challenging time, to share with friends and family photos and stories of life in the Pacific Northwest. Creating it was part of my healing journey. It became a refuge for busy friends, needing a little virtual repose. It will soon disappear as Apple, Inc. discontinues its web service in 2012.  Please enjoy my photo journal while it is still ‘up’.  Thanks for visiting!

Life in the woods is shared with husband Mike, chickens, ducks, and many wild critters. Visit the various pages in the menu to meet our wild neighbors.  Click to see the collection of buildings we call home!

Winter sneaks up....

Chilly nights,

Frosty mornings.

Wind storms irreverently blow off the last fall color.

The peach tree is stubborn.

Holding on to green leaves through frost and wind.

Last night’s storm scattering many of  its summer green leaves over the garden.

But the peach tree held fast.

A mis-guided attempt to stave off the inevitable.

I admire it.

Love as I do the mountain snow,

I do not care for the cold

and wish to wrap myself in

summer green.

Due to Apple discontinuing web service, June 2012, I no longer maintain this web site, but have a new blog:
