Augusta (Gusti) Laidlaw  founded A.W. Laidlaw and Son in 1985 when she began mowing lawns while carrying her son Jamie on her back.  Her business grew over the next two decades into a 35 person crew of hard workin’, dirt baggin’ high school and college kids, including Jamie and his sister Erica.

Gusti came to know the plants that would thrive in the climate of McCall and developed an incredible eye for creating dynamic, seamless landscapes with materials native to the Rockies.   Gusti  is a hands-on gal and learning as she went she created a reputation for her design skills and the level of quality in every landscape she and her hard working crews created.

A.W. Laidlaw and Son closed its gate in 2005, however Gusti is still creating landscape designs and Jamie is now embarking upon his own landscaping business, Laidlaw Landscape Company LLC.
