The Oasis Board of Directors has approved the concepts of the Media Proposal plan as a “master plan” for the Oasis Clubhouse.  They are now working on how to fund the various phases of the proposal.  More information will be forthcoming as it becomes available.

The final proposal with estimated retail budget has been presented to the entire Board (actual costs will be lower), with the various implementation phases.  The Board was informed that the Forward Planning Committee has recommended that the Media Proposal be the primary project, for them to work on.  A recommendation to 1) accept the plan and it’s phasing as a master plan for media in the

The acoustic treatment recommendations currently require more on-site measurements to complete our analysis due to the shape of the Ballroom,

Audio Problems In the Oasis Ballroom

1.  Ambient air conditioning noise (air vents in ballroom very noisy)

 

2.  Consider the audience - older population, many with hearing loss to various degrees.

 

3.  Parallel reflective walls and hard side, front and rear surfaces causing acoustical bounce and slap.

 

4.  Glass windows and doors in the rear of the ballroom adding to the bounce and slap
