February 14, 1987 the day my first whippet came to live with me. Brenna was a small black bundle of joy and my introduction to the sport of pure bred dogs. Brenna was my do-all girl--the first dog I showed in conformation, obedience and lure coursing. She was successful in all venues of the sport and help to cement my love for sighthounds.

Brenna never finished her bench championship; novice handler and she was black, but we did earn 9 points. Brenna excelled in the obedience ring and quickly earned her CD and then her CDX. She did not like the metal article so we knew when it was time to move on to lure coursing. We did not begin coursing until Brenna was six, she always ran true and loved the sport. Brenna was from Linda Kolb who bred to Patrick Pettit’s CH Patric’s Quotation ROMX(Cole). Here began a great friendship with Patrick Pettit.

Many other dogs have lived with me as you will see in the other pages of this site. I count myself lucky to have had such a great starter dog and to have made so many friends who have helped me learn about whippets . I like to count as my mentors Patrick Pettit, Linda Kolb, Barbara Ruth Smith, Sue Carbajal, Carol Curry, and Barb Wayne. Hope you enjoy looking around.
