As I watched our high school’s Class of 2006 graduate, I remembered why I enjoy teaching so much. It’s helping others reach their potential. The financial rewards of teaching will never land me on the Fortune 500 list but will give me something that’s priceless--seeing students grow, mature, and develop their skills needed for success in life. It is the same way that I view my work with horses and their owners. It gives me great pride to work with them in identifying their needs and work through their challenges—with their humans or their horses! It’s helping the light bulb to illuminate and to deepen the relationship. It’s helping both the equine and human athletes to meet their potential.
The only addiction I’ve ever had is to horses. The skill that the Lord has given me is the gift of teaching and it is my passion to share my knowledge with others. It is my sincere hope that by sharing what I’ve gained along my journey, I can empower others and help them be successful in theirs. I appreciate this opportunity given to me by Pony Boy and Iyuptala University to develop and enhance the bond between horses and their humans. "
