where your stitches at?

So, the Brand-New-Mister Bee and I are finally managing a successful re-entry into our lives - or, rather, into our new life, because let’s face it, even at our advanced experiences something like joining hands in marriage for the first time is still so big and transforming that it can be a bit overwhelming - and, floating in off Cloud 9, I return to this.
An invitation.  In my email in-box.  For membership.  In the most elite, anticipated club since junior-high pep squad.  As the kids say nowadays:
suh-weeeeet.
I have to say I am bowled over by this system’s power and flexibility to give me what I didn’t even know I needed.  My mind is reeling at the new possibilities for my online knit-life.  It has me so jazzed I was up literally all night navigating and uploading and researching and connecting.  I can tell you my knitblog’s gonna look a bit different too.
I’m a bit verklempt right now - tawk amongst ya-selves - so I’ll let my good pal webbo (she of the Cambridge snark from the other side of the pond from mine) tell it, since she’s done it best.
At this point, you have to forgive the complete breakdown of my social graces.  I cannot tell you that they’re working really hard to get all NINE-THOUSAND people on the waiting-list in the door, and that you’ll get in really soon so just be patient, and really it’s not all that great, so not worth the hype that you’re harding missing a thing.
hey - it’s all that and more.  it is soooo f*ckin’ gooooood.
and, after forty-five years of grave disappointments, missed opportunities, and downright tragedies, it is sooooo great this month to be on the inside of the velvet rope for a change.
If you can get over my insensitive gloat and we’re still friends, when you get in look me up.  I’ll buy you a glass of champagne and show you where my stitches at.
