how it began
Indelible Ice Images began on Claire’s EDD,
or as we like to call it...
Extraordinary Due Date, March 10, 2010.
While out celebrating our Little Love’s date, the idea of etching her name on the ice came to me as a way of honouring her and where she was born.
I have always loved the intricate patterns that can be found in the ice and thought it would provide a creative and unique frame for our Sweet Baby Girl’s name!
I would be honoured to have your baby(ies) join her...

The ice road
The images are taken in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada on the Dettah Winter Ice Road which crosses Great Slave Lake.
The ice measures anywhere from 7 inches to 4 feet thick.
The all-season road is a 27km (18.8 mi) drive.
The winter ice road is a
6.4 km (4 mi) drive.
The ice road is typically open to vehicles (airplanes included!) from December to April .
