Fever for the Enemy
Fever for the Enemy
Kristine Ong Muslim
You are well water, unraveled by
muddied hands out of a dried lake
of madness where all things lose
their meaning as they mingle together.
You, that creature of pale light,
the disembodied one, I hear you breathe.
Out of that well, I will fish your body,
slather it with light so it will begin to die.
