Chin Hing Sang was born in Hong Kong. He graduated at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1989. From 1990 to 1995 he studied at the Vienna State Academy of Music under Prof. Dietmar Zeman. Besides, he also participated in Bassoon masterclasses held by Valerie Popov, William Waterhouse, Karl Öhlberger and John Orford; as well as the masterclass in Bassoon reed making by Andreas Weigmann, the most famous Bassoon reed maker in Germany.

    In Vienna he was granted a scholarship by the Ziehrer-Stiftung. In 1993 and 1994 he was bassoonist in the Junge Oper Austria and Totales Theater Wien respectively. Since 1995 he is principal Bassoon of Hong Kong Sinfonietta. 1997/98 he was granted a scholarship by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, Music and Dance Fund.  In June 1998 he obtained the degree of Master of Arts with unanimous distinction at the Vienna State Academy of Music, and received an honorary prize from the Austrian Ministry of Education. He was one of the founding members of “Les Six” and is also the overseas consultant of Macau Youth Orchestra. He has given master classes in Macau and Guangzhou conservatories. Being one of the leading bassoonists in Hong Kong, he has been very active in the concert halls of Hong Kong as well as in Macau, Singapore, Japan, USA, France, Poland, Lithuania and Austria. He has appeared as soloist with Hong Kong Sinfonietta. He has now resumed his position in Hong Kong Sinfonietta, and is currently on the faculty of  the Chinese University of Hong Kong , the Baptist University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Institute of Education.

    Since October 2006, Chin is one of the Moosmann International Artists. In June 2007, with sponsorship from HK Arts Development Council, Chin was invited to perform in a chamber music recital in the International Double Reed Conference in Ithaca, New York. In July 2008, Chin was invited again by the IDRS to perform in the Conference in Provo. In February and June 2009, Chin was invited to hold Bassoon seminars in Valdosta, USA and Vienna, Austria respectively.

秦慶生出生於香港。一九八九年畢業於香港中文大學。一九九零至九五年就讀於維也納國立音樂學院，師隨Dietmar Zeman ，並曾參加Valerie Popov，William Waterhouse，Karl Öhlberger ，John Orford及Andreas Weigmann的巴松管大師班。 在維也納期間秦氏獲頒Ziehrer-Stiftung的獎學金。並於九三、九四年分別受雇於Junge Oper Austria和Totales Theater Wien。自九五年起秦氏加入香港小交響樂團任首席巴松管。九七至九八年度獲香港賽馬會音樂及舞蹈基金頒贈獎學金。九八年六月秦氏於維也納國立音樂學院以優異成績考獲碩士學位，並獲奧地利教育部頒發榮譽獎學金。秦慶生現恢復於香港小交響樂團巴松管首席之職，同時任教於香港演藝學院、香港中文大學及香港教育學院。

2007-2010 秦氏多次被邀請前往國際雙簧協會會議參與演出。 2009年更被邀請前往美國Valdosta State University 及 奧地利維也納國立音樂大學舉辦大師班。
