Tier 3 Intervention
Tier 3 instruction is truncated based on student needs. For students with low reading skills who are not making adequate progress within the general curriculum or in their Tier 2 small group instruction, My Sidewalks, a Reading Street program provides sustained instruction, intensive language and concept development, and more focus on critical comprehension skills and strategies.

Tier 2 is packed with daily instructional routines that are differentiated for students at risk, those working on grade level, and individuals capable of advanced instruction. Tier 2 provides a second opportunity to revisit vocabulary and phonics lessons taught in whole group where needed, to continue to build background knowledge through the use of semantic webs, and participating in both

Reading Street: Tier 1
Tier 1, brings students together around a central theme or “Big Idea” and begins to frame the essential question in a series of activities and with smaller questions that help to build background knowledge and provide critical information to support their reading.
