My buddy Udo turned me on to The Wire. I just finished the 4th season and holy shit! This is an amazing show. I don’t even like cop shows. The Wire, however, is different. They take a whole season to work on one case. They have time to develop characters on both sides. The characters are so good. There are no absolutes. Udo really got me interested when he told me the show is more like reading a novel than it’s like watching TV.

The Wire shows how everything is connected. Season one is about drug dealers. Season two is the Dock Worker’s Union. Season three is about politicians. Season four is about the school system. This weekend Season five comes out and I can’t wait for it.
