It seemed everyone was talking about the election, & Ms. Brunello’s 1st Graders were no exception! Our class learned about the voting process before the  November election. They made booklets with facts about the candidates and  which political parties they represented. A couple of weeks before the  actual presidential election, they were each given their own  secret PIN number and were able to practice voting on a real voting  machine. The vote results were printed out and presented to the  class. On election day, they all wore their patriotic colors  to celebrate being an American and having the freedom to vote!
