Pigs raised in your own back garden

Like many people we watched Gordon Ramseys’ F-Word in 2006 when he kept two pigs, Trinny and Susannah in the back garden of his London house so that he and his family could learn about pork and bacon before it was in a packet in the supermarket. If you want your children to understand a little more about where their food comes from and you fancy the idea of keeping a few pigs for six months but think it will be a hassle then we can help.

We raise Gloucester Old Spot and Oxford Sandy and Black pigs which we then sell by the half to people who want the best pork and care about how it is produced.

If you have the space, we can provide all you need to raise five piglets - a house, electric fencing, feed bin, the weaners themselves and all the support you might need while you and your family look after them for six months. At the end, we will come and take them away and you will get £250 worth of pork in roasting joints, bacon, sausages and a ham. It will cost you nothing but you and your family will learn so much. If your friends are interested, we are even happy to supply them with your product!
