reduction in force
A personal project that was blogged about without my knowledge or consent. Thanks. Anything on the internet is fair game. After 20,000 Flickr views later, I got laid off.
I called it. “Now I’m probably on the top of the list for the next round of layoffs.”

My set description on Flickr:
The last round of layoffs and buyouts really hurt me. I mean, each one does but this one especially. This place feels like a morgue. An abusive relationship. Remnants and artifacts everywhere. Empty cubicles. Empty chairs. Abandoned office equipment. Goodbye emails. Goodbye cake. Besides looking for a new job, this is a way for me to deal.
There will be more layoffs and photos...
UPDATE: I got laid off June 26th while I was on vacation 2 days before my birthday. I had no warning since I wasn't there for the staff meeting where they asked for “volunteers” the day before. No one informed me. This on top of my father's death made it the worst month of my life. Fuck the Merc.
