News & Announcements

April is just about over and we are moving into the last leg of our Kindergarten journey.  Our first week back from Spring break began our unit on measurement.  We have learned   about length, weight and volume and have measured in standard and non-standard units.  Take a look at the showcase section to share in our activities.  April 22nd was Earth day.  This led Kindergarten to discuss what it means to recycle and take care of our Earth.  The children came up with some excellent ways to protect their environment.  Our current unit is all about bugs.  We look forward to seeing all of you at our “Going Buggy” program on May 22nd.   Look for more information about this program in your child’s take home folder.

Hebrew & Judaica

There is nothing like a celebration as the school year nears its end.  So, as we celebrate Israel’s 61st birthday, we travel to Israel with Sammy Spider, first packing our suitcases then taking an EL AL airplane to the airport in Tel Aviv.  We will visit a kibbutz, the Dead Sea, Jerusalem and be making and tasting things as we travel on our way.  Hebrew letters and words become part of our travels.  We also have a new Alef-bet book that helps us review each of the letters of the alef-bet.
