The Master of Design Programme is continually evolving to address contemporary issues within the fast changing domain of Design. The programme is interdisciplinary with a focus on people-centred design. Students engage in team project work and develop individual projects in a range of areas utilising research expertise within the School of Design and beyond, including Design Strategy, Healthcare Design, Narrative and Storytelling, Future Design Practice and Natural Design. To challenge preconceived thinking, students initially work on set project briefs to try new methods of working and thinking, before focusing on their individual project proposal. A subject specific advisor from the School of Design’s Research Community or from Industry is appointed to advise each student in project development and realisation.
