The programme is led by Hazel White MA(RCA) assisted by Qin Han, Teaching Fellow and doctoral student in the school of Design. Contributors to teaching include Professor Tom Inns (Director of the UK wide Designing for the 21st Century initiative), Professor Seaton Baxter, OBE (Director of the Centre for the Study of Natural Design), Professor Mike Press (author of two major books on design), Jonathan Baldwin (whose book on Visual Communications won the ‘best  higher education title’ prize at the 2007 British Book Awards), Jeanette Paul (Scientific Panel member for the International Academy for Design and Health World Congress),  Professor Georgina Follett OBE, leader of the Past, Present, Future Craft Practice Research Project and Professor Colin Burns (Designer,  consultant, entrepreneur and former Head of IDEO, London).

Faculty and Extended Faculty

Design strategist Professor Tom Inns leads the DLPSI module, and is Director of the AHRC initiative Designing for the 21st Century.

Professor Seaton Baxter, OBE, is Director of the Centre for the Study of Natural Design and a key driver of the People and Design module

Hazel White is Programme Director. Hazel runs several modules and is involved in research projects from interactive wearables, to telecoms to craft.

Professor Mike Press leads the Context and Cohesion module. Mike is Head of the School of Design and is a design policy maker in areas from counter terror to craft

Gill Wildman is external examiner for the Programme. 

Gill 's passion is the design of people-centred systems. She runs Plot an innovation company with Nick Durrant working with clients from the BBC to Virgin Airlines.

Professor Colin Burns, heads up Martach Associates, a network of leading innovation professionals and consultants. Colin was head of IDEO, UK and Interaction Design at the RCA. He runs a visualisation workshop as part of the programme.
