The listed names correspond to the artists we have already interviewed. We’ve only finished
the last phase of artists interviews in Beijing so far.
When we started our research, we approached a variety of artists under no specific premise.
Our only goal was to gather information about their concerns and ways of interactions with
their respective cities.
We would gather information from emergent, mid career and established artists that
would like to share their experiences with us. After finishing the field research phase
we shaped our thematic structure based on the artists main concerns.
The next step was to focus on those artists that would consistently schematize the
concentration areas: space, identity and globalisation.
Since the image of reality corresponds to what you are able to experience, and what we
were able to experience depended on the goodwill and sincerity of our interviewees,
hereby we want to acknowledge the good dispositon of every single artist that decided to
work with us. As a result of their testimonies, we can guarantee a slice of reality that is
generous and critical.
