Dr Hartmut Lenz

I am a LSE Fellow in European Politics at the European Institute, London School of Economics and Political Science.


My research interests encompass Intergovernmental Negotiations, International Organizations, Regional Integration, Game Theory, European Integration as well as quantitative and qualitative research methods. 


My current research includes two main projects: "Domestic Constraints on Bargaining on the EU Treaty Negotiations", which examines the impact of public opinion on intergovernmental negotiations within the EU, and "Effective Multilateralism and Regional Cooperation", which compares the impact of institutional structures on efficiency and conflict in regional cooperation.


Previously, I was a post-doctoral Fellow at the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies, Harvard University and a Research Fellow at Nuffield College, University of Oxford.
