Why do words on a page have meaning?


When a description, or a phrase, or even a little adjective makes you feel like you can touch a moment in time, then those words on a page have meaning.


Poetry is not about “style”; more to the point - it is about emotions. It seeks to make words paint a picture of feelings that communicate a message, or a sight, or sound or just about anything that one person might want another to look at and see in a different way - a more personal way.


I write poems because these words are in my mind, living right alongside all the feelings that make memories linger...
